Kent Shutt

General Manager Travel Paramedicine

Kent has over 32 years of EMS and Law Enforcement experience. His expansive career in EMS has ranged from staffing ground EMS, helicopter, and fixed wing transport as well as tactical situations. Kent worked several years in EMS education as a paramedic instructor and as a Clinical Coordinator for an accredited paramedic program. He was employed with LifeFlight Eagle for 25 years in several different roles: flight paramedic, base supervisor, and Program Manager. His role as a Program Manager included assisting with the expansion of 3 base locations over 150 miles apart, overseeing the increase in staffing, and project management of the new base constructions. This experience leading staff in multiple remote locations has been invaluable for Kent as our General Manager of Travel Paramedics. Kent has worked for the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office in many capacities including: patrol deputy, CERT team member, Criminal Interdiction, and a Detective with the multi county Drug Task Force.

Kent’s personal time away from work is spent traveling and spending time with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys the outdoors and loves to camp, water ski, and snow ski. Kent has been fortunate enough to regularly travel all over the country on his motorcycle with his wife of 30 years. He is a former PADI Scuba instructor and his family takes every opportunity to travel to destinations that will allow them to do some diving.
