ACLS - Instructor Led

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor-Led Training is an in-classroom course taking approximately 15 hours over 2 days. An ACLS Provider Manual and a precourse self-assessment are required. This course is recommended for healthcare professionals needing ACLS training, especially those taking ACLS for the first time.

AHA’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. This course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR.

This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

The course uses learning stations for practice of essential skills and simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active participation.

ACLS Renewal Course

This is an in-classroom, American Heart Association Instructor-led, course lasting 3.5 to 6.5 hours depending on student number and experience. Students are required to take an online pre-course self-assessment. Recommended for experienced ACLS Providers who have a current ACLS Provider certification who need an update. This course is not offered to first time Providers.



Acls Best Practice Medicine

ACLS HeartCode (Blended)

HeartCode® Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS is a blended learning course. The American Heart Association online portion takes approximately 6.5 hours and the in-classroom part approximately 1.5 to 5 hours depending on student number and experience. This is recommended for healthcare providers who have a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS Provider certification needing renewal and desire an alternative to the ACLS Renewal Course. This course is not offered to first time Providers.

Part 2: ACLS Hands-on Session

After completing the above online portion, students attend a structured ACLS hands-on session with an AHA Instructor. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing.

ACLS Accelerated HeartCode® is a blended learning course. The American Heart Association online portion takes about 6.5 hours and the in-classroom part about 35 minutes per student.
