Students enrolled in our Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Lewiston Montana lab site had the opportunity to practice real-world nursing simulation experiences earlier this month as they enter the final months of their year-long journey to becoming registered nurses.
Best Practice Medicine, a healthcare and first-responder training company based in Bozeman Montana, traveled to Lewistown with their state-of-the-art mobile simulation truck to provide students with a three-day simulation experience aimed at exposing them to a variety of potential scenarios a nurse may experience in the field, all through the use of customizable high-fidelity mannequins
Full ArticleCAMP ROBERTS, Calif. - California National Guard Soldiers participated in one of the first Prolonged Casualty Care course collaborations in the U.S. between civilian and military organizations at Camp Roberts on June 1-6, 2023.
The training involved hands-on learning in a mobile campus, multi-day prolonged patient care, and a culminating event where Soldiers put their knowledge to the test during a simulated mass casualty event.
Spc. Triniti Gistrand, a combat medic with the 3rd Battalion, 140th Aviation Regiment, and participant in the PCC course believes prolonged casualty care is essential for Soldiers to learn as it better equips them for the field.

"COVID-19 vaccines are now being administered in Gallatin County gas stations, truck stops and car dealerships as public health officials focus on immunizing those who are hesitant or lackadaisical about getting a shot.
Through much of the winter and spring, the county held mass immunization clinics at the county fairgrounds, giving shots to hundreds of people at a time. Thousands more were vaccinated Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital or in local pharmacies.
Now, as the county’s vaccination rate hovers below the target for herd immunity, local public health providers are working to get the vaccine in front of people wherever they can.
Best Practice Medicine has contracts with the county and state to run clinics, spokesperson Matt Macoy said. When the group was helping with the county’s fairground clinics, they were handling hundreds of patients a day." (Read More)
Program aiming to vaccinate Canadian truckers sees success in Conrad
As reported by The Daily Montanan, Best Practice Medicine partnered with the state of Montana's governor's office to provide COVID-19 vaccines to truckers going back and forth from Canada. "Since it became operational on May 10, 2021 more than 500 people have stopped at the Mobile Community Vaccination Center. Staffed by clinicians from Bozeman’s Best Practice Medicine.
