As a EMT instructor for 30 years here in Bozeman, Best Practice is the best EMT class being taught in Gallatin Co. Congrats Ben for putting an awesome staff together!!!!...
You will spend over 150 hours in the classroom and online including 10 hours in the Emergency Room for patient observation. To say the least, this course is INTENSE and moves very quickly! It requires MATURITY, DEDICATION, and plenty of extra STUDY time. We suggest that for every classroom hour you attend you must commit to an additional hour of outside study.
If you are an MSU student with a heavy course load, we do NOT recommend taking the course. In previous courses, MSU students who carried heavy academic course loads had a very hard time completing this course.
You may not miss more than eight class hours and must attend all scheduled lab sessions due to the critical nature of the material. You must pass all exams with a minimum score of 70% to continue in the course.
Please be aware that there are additional costs not covered in the course tuition that are associated with student liability insurance, immunization requirements, and post-course licensing-testing fees.
American Heart Association CPR certification is required prior to entering the in-hospital clinical experience. As part of your EMT training we will provide CPR certification training at no additional cost to you. However, you are welcome to obtain AHA CPR certification from outside sources prior to this course. Proof of liability insurance ($40) is required for each student on the first class day.
NOTE: after you graduate this course there are investment costs you should be aware of, associated with licensing exams and applications.
We are passionately committed to providing you with the most professional, high-quality, and up-to-date EMT training possible. We want you to succeed, to save lives, and be truly ready. To that end, we always recommend the latest edition of the training text book, so you have the most recent editions of knowledge and practice in your training and at your fingertips.
