Montana House Bill 333, also known as the "Help Save Lives from Overdose Act," authorized a statewide standing order that allows pharmacists and Master Trainers to distribute Narcan without a patient-specific prescription. The bill established a Master Trainer model to ensure standardized, high-quality overdose response education is available to first responders and community members across all 56 counties. By providing legal immunity to those who administer naloxone in good faith, the legislation removed major barriers to life-saving intervention during opioid emergencies.
