Lane was born and raised in Wisconsin before moving to Montana in 2021 to attend MSU. Prior to attending MSU, Lane received his associate's degree in networking from Rock Valley College and completed his CISCO networking certification. During and after his time at RVC, Lane worked for various companies as an independent IT contractor. After moving to Montana, he started working in IT in the wildfire mitigation industry before transitioning to Best Practice Medicine in May of 2024.

When he's not in the office, Lane can be found snowboarding at one of the local resorts, riding in the backcountry, hiking with friends, or tinkering with computers.
