Chuck has been involved in public service since 1980, both in law enforcement and EMS. He served with the Flathead County Sheriff’s office for 34 years, the last 8 years as Sheriff. During his law enforcement career, he served as the search and rescue coordinator, SWAT team commander, tactical medic and public safety scuba diver.
Chuck worked as a critical care flight paramedic for a hospital-based flight program for 25 years, serving as the program’s Chief Flight Paramedic, and is experienced in all phases of critical care helicopter and fixed wing transport. He has flown with Two Bear Air Rescue since the program’s inception, and currently serves as a Rescue Specialist, System Operator, and Tactical Flight Officer for that program. Chuck is experienced in all phases of helicopter hoist rescue and law enforcement helicopter flight operations. He currently volunteers for Lakeside ambulance as a paramedic.
