Caring for the youngest of our patients is a truly challenging and rewarding experience. How prepared are you and your organization to respond to a critically ill or injured child? At Best Practice Medicine we believe that through realistic, meaningful, challenging education we can help prepare you and your team for that next pediatric encounter.
Best Practice Medicine is proud to offer the National Association of EMT’s Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC) course. This course is subsidized through grant funding provided by the Montana State EMS for Children program. Developed using the same pragmatic approach to pre-hospital education as their Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) course EPC is appropriate for both BLS and ALS providers.
Students who successfully complete the EPC course will be awarded sixteen hours of accredited pediatric contact time. As a hybrid course, students must complete eight hours of well-developed online training prior to attending a scheduled classroom day of skills and simulation.
A number of Emergency Pediatric Care courses are being planned for the upcoming year. Once the host locations are confirmed links to each class will be listed here.
Interested in hosting an Emergency Pediatric Care course? That's great! We want to here from you! You can request a course for your team quickly and easily.
